Vin beskrivelse
Alex Head: There is a powerful minerality that runs through this wine, perhaps due to the fact it is the highest altitude vineyard on the Western side of the Barossa at approximately 340-380 m. The soils include deep red clays and large ironstone rocks (Brunette in colour). Partial whole bunch fermentation. These unique characters allow me the opportunity to take this wine to a level comparable with the great Syrah wines of the world. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

James Halliday (97 points):

"From a single east-facing vineyard, full morning sun, no afternoon sun, 100% destemmed, 3-week wild fermentation and maceration, 1 year in French hogsheads and barriques (40% new). A wine of immediate authority and power, but with a heart of pure gold; forest berries and spices spin a web of sheer pleasure."
