Galloni (90-92 points):
"Dark, bright red. Sweet perfume combines candied cherry, minerals and flowers. Wonderfully silky, dense and fat with fruit for village wine, but the concentrated flavors of red fruits, flowers and minerals have the energy and underlying structure to support their almost liqueur-like ripeness. Finishes very long, with enough supporting acidity to leaven its 13.6% alcohol. This transcends Nuits-Saint-Georges, which is a rare accomplishment for a village wine."
Burghound (90-92 points & "Outstanding"):
"A distinctly earthy nose offers up excellent complexity on the red and dark berry fruit and sauvage-inflected aromas. The rich, muscular and very serious medium-bodied flavors exhibit the same fine complexity as the nose while delivering first-rate length on the very firmly structured but well-balanced finale. This too is an outstanding Nuits villages but once again I underscore the need for at least some patience."
