Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (90-92 points):
"Coming largely from the white clays of Larnage, the 2017 Crozes Hermitage Blanc Chaos is 70% Roussanne and 30% Marsanne. All barrel fermented and aged, it's dramatic, flamboyant, with notes of cedar, banana and tropical fruit, a rich, oily texture and plenty of weight. It does tighten up a bit on the finish, adding touches of citrus zest and cracked pepper."
Jeb Dunnuck (90 points):
"Based on Roussanne, with 30% Marsanne, aged 11 months in a mix of barrels, the medium gold-colored 2017 Crozes Hermitage Chaos Blanc offers slightly more spiced orchard fruits as well as hints of brioche, buttered citrus, and subtle tropical notes. Medium-bodied, rounded, nicely textured, and mouthfilling, it's another outstanding white from this estate."
