Galloni (92-95 points):
"Bright medium ruby. Vibrant, very dark aromas of blueberry, blackberry, black cherry, licorice and bitter chocolate. Fat, sweet, creamy and large-scaled; wonderfully round wine but given shape by a strong chalky quality and harmonious acidity. Finishes firmly tannic, minerally and long, with lovely violet lift. In other cellars, Clos Vougeot is often a high-pH wine, but not here; in fact, Laurent told me that until recently this was the domain's least-ripe wine."
