"Burgaud's 2018 Morgon Côte du Py Javernières is showing beautifully, unfurling in the glass with a deep-pitched but youthfully reserved bouquet that mingles hints of cassis and plum with notions of baking chocolate, grilled meats, cracked pepper and violets. Medium to full-bodied, rich but lively, it's built around powdery and abundant structuring tannins and succulent acids, revealing terrific depth at the core and concluding with a long, elegantly sapid finish. This should be quite spectacular with a few years of bottle age. "
