Jeb Dunnuck (95 points):
"The base 2016 Cornas from Robert is a killer wine that shows the style of the vintage as well as the quality of the estate brilliantly. Crème de cassis, blackberries, smoked earth, spice, and hints of meatiness all flow to a layered, seamless, full-bodied Cornas that does everything right. Balanced, pure, and elegant, it's well worth a case purchase and will keep for 15-20 years."
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (91-93 points):"The full-bodied 2016 Cornas (tasted from tank prior to bottling) shows great complexity in its aromas of plum, cracked pepper, licorice and herbal-stemmy notes (30% was fermented as whole clusters). It’s velvety and long on the finish. From 15 different parcels averaging 50 years of age, it spent 14 months in older (fourth-fill) barrels."
