Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (89-91 points):
"The 2016 Morey-Saint-Denis En La Rue de Vergy has a clean and fresh bouquet with blackberry and raspberry scents intermingling with cold stone and a touch of earthiness (probably from the 60% whole bunch). The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine line of acidity and fine structure on the finish that is proper Morey. Very fine."
Galloni (88-91 points):
"Good bright red. Laid-back, slightly medicinal nose hints at cranberry and herbs. A wine of modest flesh, and quite tight and dry in the early going owing to its sound acidity and limestone lift. The lightly herbal character, which may be partly a function of the whole clusters, carries through to the somewhat clenched but not overly tannic finish. I would have picked this blind as a Chambolle."
