"The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru is not as opulent as the 2022. It needs a few swirls of the glass to cohere its brambly sous-bois and pressed flower notes. The palate is medium-bodied and a little peppery with sappy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity and touches of graphite toward the sustained finish. This should age well in bottle."
Burghound (90-93 points & "Outstanding"):
"Les Suchots is a bigger wine, with plenty of oomph and intensity. Quite a bit of oak is evident, as only one cask was made. The wood is currently in the foreground, making the wine slightly polished. That said, it develops well with time in the glass. From the top of the vineyard. hence good provenance and quality."
