"The 2022 Corton Clos du Roi Grand Cru is quite intense on the nose with layers of toasty red fruit, white pepper and light rose petal scents. Very attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with a succulent and rounded entry. Fine acidity, fleshy with some new oak to be absorbed on the finish, but it sashays along with style and should drink well for 15-20 years."

"Having started its elevage in new Francois Freres barrels, this is rather dramatic. After racking into more discreet barrels, the oak is still potent, but now in a more subtle way. This is intense, yet delicate, with ripe tannins."
