"The 2022 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru contains 10-15% whole bunches and is matured entirely in new wood. This is more cohesive and conveys more red and blackberry fruit expression on the nose, with touches of sous-bois coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins, quite bold and assertive. The oak will require 4 or 5 years to fully integrate, but it should turn into a fine Clos de la Roche."

"The Clos de la Roche comes from the old core of the vineyard. Currently a bit reduced, it is still delicate and elegant, with more intensity and depth than the Clos Saint-Denis. No inky over-extraction here; well done."

"This is also quite firmly reduced and all that is detectible is abundant wood toast. On the palate there is excellent richness to the bigger-bodied and sappy flavors that deliver excellent length on the much better-balanced finale. Very fine development potential here."
