The latest Noble & Murat 2017 Vintage Port has its origin in a final blend of wines from a selection of grapes from three different old vineyards:
1. An old vineyard from the Tedo river valley, located on Quinta de Castelo Borges (neighbouring upstream Quinta de Nápoles), with several indigenous mixed grape varieties, with no predominant variety (a field-blend);
2. Another old vineyard from the Tedo river valley, on its right bank, located at 140 meters altitude, a vineyard exclusively from Touriga Nacional grape variety, originated from its own clone that gives it its unique characteristics;
3. An old vineyard from Quinta do Bragão, located in the Pinhão river valley, with several mixed grape varieties with no predominant grape variety.
(as a curiosity, "the Sandeman 1931 Vintage Bragão", was made with grapes from the current old vineyard next to the quinta main house, which is nowadays also one of Noble & Murat Port wine components).
