James Suckling (99 points):
"Already in the nose this is a giant, with such a wide spectrum of fresh and dried stone-fruit aromas, plus a touch of dried fig and date. Mind-boggling concentration, energy and spice, yet there’s nothing heavy about this. However, all of these wonderful things are nothing compared with the awesome finish. Drink or hold."
Mosel Fine Wines (97 points):
"The 2020er Ritsch BA was made of fruit picked at 150° Oechsle and was fermented down to noble-sweet levels of residual sugar (171 g/l). It offers a stunning nose baked pineapple, coconut, fine spices, fine herbal elements, and incredibly pure almond paste. The wine proves a tad on the sweet side on the palate at the moment but the finish is simply as stunningly pure and elegant as when we tasted it last year. The only thing that this beauty now needs is patience: What a marvelous BA! 2035-2060."
