"Tawse's Quarry Road vineyard sits in Niagara's coolest sub-appellation of Vinemount Ridge at the top of the Niagara Escarpment. The 2022 is typical of the site in its restrained, savoury expression of Riesling. Electrifying acidity with ideal natural sweetness is complimented by minerality expressed by notes of wet stone. Restrained fruit aromas and flavours are mostly citrus, lemon and lime, with gentle notes of spring blossoms. It is a complex wine with good concentration and the ability to age."

"This is a classic, pristine, off-dry (kabinett for German comparison) that shows very lifted, complex and compelling aromas of apricot jam, lemon, petrol and honey. A touch of evergreen adds dash. It is mid-weight, fleshy with excellent acidity. The length is excellent with some trace minerality on the finish. Ontario so often sits under the radar."
