Enormous structure on the medium- to full-bodied palate, which has a dark feel that’s rare in Mosel wines. In the extremely slatey finish, all the madness of this daring masterpiece makes sense. From a parcel above the famous Schubertslay site mostly planted with 120-year-old ungrafted vines. Drinkable now, but best from 2027."
