"The 2017 Marino mixes Garnacha grapes from San Martín de Valdeiglesias and Cadalso de los Vidrios. Fermentation and aging were similar for the reds, at controlled temperature with soft pumping over and a maceration of around 38 days and élevage in 500-liter French oak barrels for eight to 10 months. It has ripeness, a note of Mediterranean herbs and nicely integrated oak, and the palate is balanced with grainy tannins that make me think of the texture of granite. It's long and tasty."
