"The classic blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvèdre, with the Mourvèdre brought up in new barrels and the Grenache all in concrete, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Deux Ex Machina is a solid step up and brilliant stuff that I'd be happy to own. It offers spicy red and black fruits, cured meats, violets, and floral nuances, with tons of Provençal spice and peppery characteristics. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and layered, it has a building mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a gorgeous finish. It's easily up with the crème de la crème of the vintage."
