Denne special Cuvée er fremstillet som en hyldest til grundlæggeren af Domaine St. Damien, Clovis Saurel. Vinen er fremstillet af de bedste fade fra Domainets bedste parceller med de ældste Grenache vinstokke. Vinen er lagret på demi-muids i 2 år inden tapning. Produktionen af denne Cuvée er mikroskopisk med få hundrede flasker.

"The star of the cellar is the microproduction of 2017 Gigondas Clovis Saurel, a 100% Grenache wine aged in two demi-muids. It was slated to be bottled the week after my June visit. It shows terrific spice notes, hints of menthol and mouth-filling black cherries. Full-bodied, silky and long, the wood is noticeable but discreet, adding length and structure without any noticeable flavor input. It's one of my favorite wines of the vintage."
