"The 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Not For You continues to be lights out good, and Grenache doesn't get any better in this reviewer's opinion. From 100-year-old vines in the Les Serres lieu-dit, in the southern end of the appellation, it was not destemmed and was brought up in a single new demi-muid. Just a powerhouse of a wine, it offers black cherries, kirsch, roasted garrigue, leather, and smoky, meaty, black olive nuances in its incredible aromatics. This beast of a wine hits the palate with full-bodied richness and a deep, layered, opulent mouthfeel, yet it's not over the top, stays perfectly balanced, and has ripe tannins as well as a great, great finish. It remains an incredibly singular wine that will be just about impossible to find in the market, but if you're lucky enough to come across a bottle, it should be at its best through 2046."
